Focus on Homestead

Mapogo Security would like to thank the community for its loyal support over the past six years. “We strive to deliver the best possible service to our customers.
We also do our best to ensure that we employ the best qualified people for the job. All Mapogo staff are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority and are also independently checked.
Due to huge demand and support from the community, Mapogo has recently increased the number of vehicles on the road, ensuring that we stay visible in our operating areas and can continue to offer the quickest response times possible.
“We request that all clients keep their personal details up to date to ensure that they are easily reachable in an emergency or for any other reason. “We also ask that you make sure all windows and doors are closed before arming your alarm system, to prevent any

unnecessary false alarms and to ensure that we respond to real events and are ready in case of an actual event. We also request that you keep your plants and branches trimmed at all times.“We are moving into the winter months, which means power failures are likely. We request that all our clients either book a service call or contact our offices to check that the battery back-up for their alarm systems is up to standard.“In case of continuous false alarms or in the event of an intruder, Mapogo has new ground-breaking technology available so that you, the client, and Mapogo will always have eyes on your property.
“With the technology available today, you can have a CCTV system installed that’s connected to Mapogo’s control room so that we can monitor activity in your yard, at both your business or residential property. You can also view your cameras from your phone and install a virtual fence that will trigger and send you a video so that you can see whether it’s your dog or an intruder setting it off. “With this new technology, we can integrate your alarm and CCTV systems into one, to see whether it’s a true event or just a false alarm. With this information, we cut out any unnecessary false alarms and deliver a better service to our clients. “This means Mapogo is a one-stop provider of alarm and CCTV installations, offsite monitoring, guarding, armed response and monitoring, and electric fence installation and access control to the public.” Contact the company on 010 492 4321 or visit www.mapogoamathamaga.co.za or add them on Facebook. A humble thank you to all our loyal customers

Owner of San Pedro Spur and Randfontein Panarottis, Tommy Cowan, would like to thank all his loyal customers for their ongoing support through thick and thin. “Over the past 28 years, it has been a great pleasure to form part of the Randfontein Community.
“It gives me great pride and joy to help the community members who have continuously supported us. From ‘shadow shifts’ for school fundraising events and teaching youngsters about business through our Sizzling Studies programmes and voucher sponsorships, to heart-throbbing events such as the Spur and Panarottis Pom-Pom Competition at the Randfontein Show, we try to give back to our community as far as we possibly can. Thank you to each guest that has ever walked through our doors and made us a part of their everlasting memories.
“A lot of precious moments have been created in our Spur; that feeling of togetherness

when we watched in anticipation when the Bokke won the Rugby World Cup in 1995 and 2007 on the big screen, the moment our guests came moved from across the bridge, the smiles on the kids’ faces when we put up our amazing play area and then a personal favourite, to see how many of our guests

supported us at our 50th Spur Birthday Special Celebration. None of our amazing ventures would have been possible without such an excellent community. We are definitely a community with a taste for life.” Contact them on 011 412 1205. The restaurants are situated on the corner of Homestead Avenue and Kenneth Road.

86 years of caring

Established in 1932, the Life Robinson Private Hospital has grown continuously, from small beginnings to the well-known and respected facility that offers patients a variety of healthcare services and medical disciplines. The interior and exterior may have changed, but embedded in its roots is a sense of nostalgia as generations of Randfonteiners have shared in 86 years of memories – memories which not only include the public but employees and doctors as well, some of whom have been part of the hospital for over 44 years. In 2011, the hospital embarked on expansion and upgrading projects, and by 2018, it had grown from 119 to 136 beds, offering 21 medical disciplines and support services. The most recent projects included opening a renal unit and renovations to both the medical and paediatric wards, which were completed in 2017. Renovations to the surgical ward commenced in March 2018. Life Robinson Private Hospital would like to thank the community, employees and doctors for their loyal support over the years. Not only are they the heart of the facility, they are also the inspiration for quality, personalised care. Contact them on 011 278 8700. The hospital is situated on Hospital Road.
