Five people were left injured when their vehicle rolled off the N12 in Westonaria during the morning of Thursday, 12 January.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said, “ER24 paramedics received a call at 4.36am and arrived on the scene shortly after. Upon arrival, paramedics found the light motor vehicle standing upright in the veld a short distance away from the road. Five people were found walking around near the vehicle.

“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that they had sustained moderate injuries. The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Fountain Hospital for further treatment. It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and roll multiple times.”

Local authorities will be investigating further.
