Village Square Mall celebrated an early Christmas with a local haven for disabled children, and had them smiling from ear to ear. The party took place on Wednesday, 7 December at Nando’s in the mall, where the entire care centre had an early lunch, compliments of Nando’s.

Hairdressing duo support CANSA

A local hairdressing duo that have a cause close to their hearts have done their part to help others. Beaudine Byleveldt, owner of Salon Beaudine and Marlize Maritz (Marlize @ Salon Beaudine) invested in a stall at this year’s Cansa Relay for Life to shave, spray and decorate participants’ heads for a fee.

R’fontein stands together to support CANSA

Randfontein has once again taken to walking through the night to support cancer patients in the 2016 Cansa Relay for Life. This year’s relay took place on Friday, 4 November on Laerskool Randfontein’s (Ram) sports grounds. The event is used to raise funds for the Cansa Association and create awareness about cancer.

On Thursday, 27 October, the WRDM received its five brand-new fire engines which will be used to service the entire West Rand including the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM).

Westcol shapes lives

Westcol Randfontein believes in rewarding their students especially when it’s the cream of the campuses crop. On Tuesday, 18 October the college held their Top Achievers Awards ceremony for 2015. Awarded were National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and Nated Business students as well as Nated Engineering and Community Service (Life Orientation) students.
