Man dies after being stabbed in street

A Mohlakeng man succumbed to his injuries after being stabbed in Ralerata Street at about 2.10am on Saturday, 4 March.

“It is alleged that the Randfontein Police were summoned to a crime scene where they found paramedics trying to resuscitate a man,” said Captain Appel Ernst, the spokesperson for the Randfontein Police. Their efforts were sadly in vain and the man was declared dead. He had been stabbed with a sharp object in the upper body.

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Bongani Mpete, is urgently requesting any person who might have witnessed the incident to call him on 011 278 8100.
