After a recent wave of rapes in Westonaria, the Bekkersdal Police are determined to put a stop to sexual violence.

The Bekkersdal Police, with the Departments of Health and Social Development, and other stakeholders will be hosting a rape awareness campaign.

The theme of the event will be ‘Know and Love your Body’. The aim of the event is to teach learners how to say “No”, and how to report a rape case.

Their target audience will be learners in Grades 5 and 6 at the Ipeleng Primary School. The campaign will take place on Friday, 24 March from 9am to 1pm.
